Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Yule Festival Event Getting Extension

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans encounter issues accessing the annual Yule Festival event and Ubisoft extends it to allow all players to celebrate.

The Yule Festival recently began in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and many fans continue to struggle to access the annual event, but Ubisoft continues to work on a fix for the issue. As a result of a plethora of players being unable to take part in the Yule Festival, Ubisoft has extended the duration of the Valhalla event.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is celebrating its second annual Yule Festival and many players are already competing in contests to receive Yule Tokens in order to purchase new and returning rewards, though some are being left out thanks to technical issues.

Ubisoft updated Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to include the Yule Festival in celebration of the Holidays as of December 16 and players have been encountering issues with it ever since. These gamers have been reporting the inability to access the Yule Festival in Ravensthorpe, causing Ubisoft to release an official statement on December 20. It’s currently unclear how much longer the affected Assassin’s Creed Valhalla owners will be feeling the effects of this bug.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s Yule Festival will be extended into January as a result of the bug that stops it from beginning in certain players’ Ravensthorpe. The statement suggests that Ubisoft isn’t currently working on a fix as the team is seemingly away for the Holidays that are supposed to be reflected in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed how far into January the Yule Festival will be extended by, but it stated that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the in-game festivities.

There are various festive Valhalla activities that Eivor can complete in the Yule Festival to unlock a wide variety of cosmetic goodies. The competitions range from archery to drunken brawling similar to other Assassin’s Creed Valhalla events such as the Easter event known as the Ostara Festival. Just like the other in-game events, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s Yule Festival changes the look of Ravensthorpe, adding several Holiday-themed decorations around the pop-up games and market.

Although Ubisoft is still working to fix the Yule Festival bug for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, fans utilized the recent announcement to bring up other bugs. Some of these gamers also noted issues with last year’s Yule Festival beginning correctly, potentially suggesting the same cause of the issue. While some Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players are unable to access the Yule Festival, many are reporting success with the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey crossover storyline.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available right now for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
