Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Turns Their Bike Into a Jet Ski

One crafty Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan has taken advantage of the Ultrahand ability to turn their bike into a jet ski. Tears of the Kingdom provides players with a huge amount of freedom, allowing them to create all manner of driving, flying, and floating contraptions. As an example, a Tears of the Kingdom player built a floating boat to cross the water and travel in the air, while another made a rechargeable electric car that can go on for a few minutes.

In Tears of the Kingdom, there are infinite ways to explore the sprawling lands of Hyrule, as players can either go old school and ride a horse or build all kinds of amusing vehicles. Thanks to Link’s Ultrahand ability, they can attach spare materials together to build self-made projects, including a working train, a giant mech suit, and a TIE Fighter like the ones from the Star Wars universe. These vehicles can be used to carry items, chase enemies, and visit Tears of the Kingdom‘s beautiful locations.

A creative Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player, who goes by Shak404 on Reddit, posted a clip of them driving a functional jet ski that is composed of two Zonai fans, a plank of wood, and a steering wheel. The vehicle can be used to travel on the land and cross the water, and it has a longer battery life than many floating contraptions. Interestingly, the player claimed that this jet ski flips itself the right way up if they put it in the water upside down.

It seems that the player used as few parts as possible so the vehicle wouldn’t be too heavy to drag in the water. In the comments, many players have praised this build for its compact design, with some claiming that it can even be a submarine if they point the vehicle downwards. The original poster also said the vehicle can be upgraded with Tears of the Kingdom‘s Zonai devices, such as shock emitters and fans, for fishing and higher speed.

The creative use of Zonai devices can give a sort of balancing effect to vehicles. Players have a variety of device options to improve their builds, including emitters, beams, and balloons. These valuable items are obtained through the several Device Dispensers encountered in the Sky Islands. Players can also use Link’s Autobuild ability to remake vehicles they’ve made recently if they don’t have enough time to design new builds.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
