Now, another fan has come across a strange bug related to ammo consumption in The Last of Us Part 1.

A Reddit user named DoctorAphra000 has shared an image from The Last of Us Part 1, showing that they currently have -1 bullets for their revolver. Their other pistol has six bullets, so nothing seems out of ordinary in that case. Ammo is rare in the world of The Last of Us, and many players will probably experience the full game without having maximum ammo for any of their weapons at a given moment. However, it’s still strange for the game to show a negative number of bullets for this particular gun.

Many users in the comments mention that Joel is in ammo debt in The Last of Us Part 1, with one fan stating that this is the effect of capitalism. Joel is standing next to a dead body in the picture, prompting one gamer to claim that the dead NPC took an extra bullet to their grave. Another user mentions that The Last of Us Part 1 updated the bullet count to match inflation in 2023, while some players also make comparisons to the way inverted bullets work in the 2020 film Tenet.

The Reddit poster DoctorAphra000 mentions that they are playing on the PS5 version of The Last of Us Part 1, so it doesn’t appear to be a part of the list of glitches plaguing the PC release. However, this doesn’t rule out the possibility of this bug appearing in the PC version of the game. Naughty Dog has released numerous updates for The Last of Us Part 1 on PC that aim to fix various problems faced by the user base, including Patch 1.0.3.0 that was released a couple of days ago.
