Stardew Valley Player Has Interesting Spot for Gunther’s Rewards

Stardew Valley has a bunch of interesting quest lines players can follow at their own pace to earn rewards. While there are some impressive rewards to be earned, not everything in the game gives players the items or benefits they want. In fact, one player displayed their displeasure with Stardew Valley’s Gunter and his reward system by exiling some of those items to the southern tip of the game’s map.

Stardew Valley has a bunch of different NPCs players can interact with and befriend. Players will quickly learn that specific shops and members of the community will offer players rewards for completing quest lines. Gunther is one of these characters, and they reward players for turning in items, minerals, and artifacts at the Stardew Valley Museum and Library.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

A post by u/mry13 shows off a bunch of the rewards players can earn through filling up the game’s museum. The odd thing here though is that instead of using these items to decorate their farm, u/mry13 decided to move every one of them to Stardew Valley’s beach. This includes the large wooden Bear Statue players get for donating 50 items to the Museum, part of the Sloth Skeleton, and even a Singing Stone players receive for donating 21 minerals that they found while mining in Stardew Valley.

According to the title, u/mry13 moved them off their property because they felt these were the least appealing items they received. In order to keep them off their property and out of sight, this Stardew Valley player banished them to the beach.

The collection represents quite a lot of investment of time in donating to Gunther’s museum and that could be part of the reason for the negative feelings towards these items. It is likely that other players will feel similarly to u/mry13 in that at least some of these are not worth the effort required. Ultimately the feeling about this exile just comes down to personal preference.

It is a challenge to find the right balance when it comes to creating a list of rewards for different quests and that really shows in this post. Though completing the museum can take a bunch of in-game seasons, some rewards shown leave a bit to be desired. Especially when compared to others in this quest line, like the Crystalarium in Stardew Valley players get when they donate 50 minerals to the Museum.

Then again, there are likely a group of players who enjoyed these decorations for their farm in Stardew Valley. Players can place these in their home, in buildings on their farm, and all over the map if they wish, making these statues and items at least somewhat useful. Either way, this Stardew Valley player found the right place for these items in their playthrough.

Stardew Valley is available on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
