Genshin Impact Fan Shows How to Solve Puzzle by Using Slimes

A new Genshin Impact video shows an interesting way to solve one of the game’s puzzles using enemies that can be found all around Teyvat.

Exploring the world of Teyvat is probably one of the most popular activities for Genshin Impact players. The game offers numerous puzzles that are spread across all of its nations. While some puzzles can only be solved be following a certain pattern, others are much more simple, only requiring the player to apply the right element on the right object.

However, even the easiest of puzzles in Genshin Impact can become tricky for some players, especially if they miss a certain element in their team composition. Luckily, an interesting fan-made video shows how to solve a puzzle even without the right character.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Certain Genshin Impact puzzles require a unique type of elemental damage to be applied in order to activate, and Reddit user TarZBlammo managed to solve a puzzle with Lisa by using the Cryo Slimes in the area. Considering that Lisa is an Electro character and the Slimes are made of the Cryo element, her attacks can trigger the Elemental reaction Superconduct in a small area, which seems to be enough to activate the puzzle.

Genshin Impact fans loved the creativity shown in the video, and the thread has gathered over 2k upvotes. As pointed out by multiple replies in the comment section, the video highlights that there are currently no Catalyst characters in Genshin Impact that can apply the Cryo element, while the remaining five elements all have at least one Catalyst users. The unique thing about characters that use this weapon type is that they can apply Elemental damage by using their Normal Attacks.

This is especially important considering that a big part of the game’s combat system relies on combining different characters and their elements in order to trigger various Elemental reactions. One of the reasons why there are no ranged Cryo characters in Genshin Impact could be due to the ability to constantly apply Cryo, as it has the potential to trigger one of the strongest elemental reactions in the game which is Frozen. This reaction does not deal any additional damage, but it can immobilize opponents, which is extremely useful – especially when fighting stronger enemies.

The creator of the video claims that he runs an all-Catalyst team, which explains the trouble of activating Cryo puzzles. The character shown in the video, Lisa, is part of the original Genshin Impact lineup, and she’s obtainable on the less popular Standard Banner. She is an Electro user who’s main job is to do as much AoE electro damage as possible. Even though she can be a good DPS character, her primary role is usually support.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
