Elden Ring Fan Art Shows Rykard, Ranni, and Radahn Reunited

Elden Ring lore is full of factions and significant events, though with the demigods making up a good chunk of the main bosses, it is no surprise fans find them interesting. One creative Elden Ring player clearly loves Radagon and Renalla’s children, as they have shared some gorgeous art of the three siblings meeting up for a family photo.

Despite being siblings, it would be hard to make a connection by taking a glance at the characters. The only thing truly connecting them is their lineage and names beginning with the letter R, as Radahn, Ranni, and Rykard boast some startlingly different appearances and stories. For those wanting to see some art featuring a general that mastered gravity magic, a gigantic cross between a snake and a man, and an idealistic woman that has taken the form of a doll, a recent image should do the trick.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The piece in question comes from the talented Twitter user @Moni95424940, who has made and shared some other Elden Ring art in the past. According to the artist, this is a colored in version of a previous work, and it looks incredible. There is a lot of detail to appreciate in the image, from the red hair on Radahn’s armor to the different scales on Rykard’s body. The eyes are particularly great on Rykard, while Moni also manages to make Ranni’s glowing half stand out.

There are a few things that stand out about the piece, with the most obvious being the cheerful tone. This is noticeably different from what is usually seen within the Elden Ring world, as the Lands Between is as dark and twisted as the worlds of other FromSoftware titles. Despite this, the family members seem happy to be back together, especially Radahn and Rykard. While seeing Radahn with a smile is quite the change, Rykard throwing up a piece sign and sticking out his tongue is even more memorable.

The other memorable thing about the piece is that the scale of every character is appropriate, meaning Rykard towers over Radahn and Ranni is tiny in comparison to both her brothers. In fact, the four-armed witch is resting on Radahn’s shoulder for the piece, which adds to the cute nature of the image. Unsurprisingly, the Elden Ring community adores the lighthearted artwork, with it getting nearly 25,000 likes on Twitter and many upvotes on Reddit. As for the comments, praise for the artist was seen alongside jokes about the way Rykard says “family.”

With other fans of the game making Elden Ring’s demigods fight, it is fun to see an image that casts a few of them in a new light. Since the characters never reunite in-game, art like this is the closest fans will get to seeing them come back together.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
