Dying Light 2 Teases ‘Big Patch’ for PC and Consoles

Developer Techland is making it clear that a large patch for Dying Light 2 is on the way and will address several issues players have pointed out.

While Dying Light 2 was one of the most anticipated releases of the early part of 2022, players quickly noticed a couple of issues with the game once it arrived. However, it appears help is on the way, as developer Techland teased a brand-new patch that is apparently geared toward fixing several Dying Light 2 glitches that have been there since launch.

Because of both the glitches and errors that need to be fixed, as well as some problems with the story, Dying Light 2‘s reviews have been a bit of a mixed bag. However, the game has also been plenty popular since its release, to the point where it’s blown away Steam’s peak concurrent player numbers from the original Dying Light. Still, Techland has promised often that the company is going to continue to work on the game to ensure it is of as high a quality as possible.

On Twitter, Techland tweeted out the announcement of the upcoming “big” patch that’s on the way to Dying Light 2. It appears the fix will indeed address a number of different issues, including the ragdoll physics that have been right at the top of the list of complaints from players. The team is also going to be working on deathloop as well as the game’s UI.

Adding that the Dying Light 2 patch is going to be fixing a number of other issues that wouldn’t fit in the tweet, the company also made it clear that the update is going to be arriving for both PlayStation and Xbox Consoles as well as PC. However, players on the different platforms won’t be able to see the fixes at the same time. The patch will first be rolled out to PC users “sometime next week” and then will arrive on consoles “a few days later.” As of now, the developers haven’t said exactly what day of the week the fixes will land.

While players wait for the next patch to fix some of the more annoying glitches in the game, they can still enjoy Dying Light 2 with several mods that have arrived since the game’s release. This includes mods that make the game much harder if players don’t feel like they’re being challenged enough by its current difficulty levels. Mods like this will likely be even better when the base game is fixed by this upcoming patch once it officially arrives.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms, with the Nintendo Switch version in active development.
