Call of Duty: Warzone’s Latest Update Adds More Restrictions to Ranked

Call of Duty: Warzone‘s latest update adds more restrictions to the newly added Ranked game mode, limiting players’ weapon pool when fighting. Call of Duty: Warzone‘s June 21 update brought more restrictions to the Ranked game mode, besides some bug fixes and general changes to some game modes. According to the June 21 update patch notes, Call of Duty: Warzone‘s Ranked players cannot use the KV Broadside shotgun, explosive rounds in sniper rifles, and Dragon’s Breath ammo in shotguns. These balance changes will mix up gamers’ play styles as these ammo types were used in other game modes to kill players with a single headshot, allowing skilled players to take out enemy threats at range. Since the explosive ammo addition to the game, many Call of Duty: Warzone players have made snipers capable of killing players in one shot, but with these new changes, Ranked players will not be able to do the same.

Besides these balance changes, Call of Duty: Warzone‘s new update implemented some fixes regarding the IO operator skin added in Season 4. According to the developer, the operator had inconsistencies between matches and lobby, and after this update, it should be over. Call of Duty: Warzone‘s new map also received a small change, as the game’s developer reduced the speed at which the first circle closes, giving players more chances to get into the safe zone in the early stages of the match.

Since Call of Duty: Warzone‘s Ranked game mode was added, many players have enjoyed the competitive experience. The Ranked game mode allows competitive players to earn exclusive rewards, climb through rank divisions, and prove to other players who are the best in each match. These restrictions will require players to do their best at every encounter, as downing an enemy player will be harder than before.
