Call of Duty: Vanguard Adding Task Force Trident Operators With Season 1 Update

Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season One brings three new Operators known as Task Force Trident, one being offered in the Battle Pass.

Activision Blizzard is preparing Call of Duty: Warzone with a Call of Duty: Vanguard-inspired update that replaces the Verdansk map with the South Pacific Caldera. In addition to new weapons, perks, and a new map, Season One of Vanguard and Warzone will feature three new Operators.

Call of Duty: Warzone has evolved over the years from the map inspired by 2019’s Modern Warfare to the slightly less modernized Verdansk ’84. Once Operation Phoenix concludes, Call of Duty: Vanguard is inspiring various aspects of Warzone, including these new Operators who are known as Task Force Trident. The new Operators join both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard with Season One, bringing new content to fans of the multiplayer and battle royale alike.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

With each new game inspiring changes to the battle royale, Call of Duty: Vanguard inspired Task Force Trident, which is led by the fearless Francis “Kai” Lanakila. Lanakila’s primary weapon is the Cooper Carbine which is unlocked for free at level fifteen of the Season One Battle Pass. Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone fans who purchase the Battle Pass will unlock Lanakila’s default “Kingdom” Skin immediately upon getting it.

Call of Duty fans who are able to reach level 100 of the Season One Battle Pass will unlock Lanakila’s Legendary “Awoken” Skin to show off just how much they love the new Call of Duty Vanguard Operator.

Lewis Howard and Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes round out the rest of Task Force Trident, arriving in future Season One content drops through featured bundles. It’s currently unclear when Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone players will have access to all three new Operators.

Lewis Howard will be available as part of the Orange Hornet Bundle in Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard, which includes the new Operator with three Weapon Blueprints, the “Angler’s Revenge” MVP Highlight, “Trap King” Killcam Vanity Theme, and more. Howard’s optimal weapon is the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle, which is among the free new weapons in the Vanguard and Warzone Season One Battle Pass and unlocked at tier 31. With both Operators being offered through featured bundles rather than the Battle Pass, Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard fans will likely see more of Lanakila in a given match.

Each of the three new Operators comes with its own twenty-level progression path, which includes XP bonuses, new Skins, and more rewards. If Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard fans use each Operator’s favorite weapons, they’ll be able to rank up even faster. Players that unlock and get to max level all three members of Task Force Trident will be able to earn gold-trimmed variants of their skins. This can be further progressed to Diamond if Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone fans level up the rest of the Task Force groups as well.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
