Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Spots Incredibly Realistic Fan Detail

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan shares their experience about a cute realistic detail of one of the in-game items, the oscillating fan.

For gamers who truly love certain titles so much that they consistently play them, noticing and appreciating the little things matter. Despite not having new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons since the launch of its paid expansion, Nintendo seemed to have put a lot of thought into the game’s features during its development. This can be seen in the small furniture details in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One fan even pointed this out by noticing a very realistic feature of an in-game fan item.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Many fans will likely agree that being able to customize their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island with the multitude of furniture and in-game items is one of the game’s well-liked features. The huge range of different villagers and roster of interesting characters also likely give the community enough incentive to log in on a daily basis. Combined with new activities and items added during the free 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise paid DLC, there is still a lot for ACNH fans to work with on the two-year old video game.

On Reddit, Animal Crossing: New Horizons player gamerguy287 shared a short video of their in-game island home. In the footage, they highlighted the oscillating fan that they have placed in one of their rooms, showing how the item blows air realistically enough to move the plants on one of their Animal Crossing: New Horizons furniture. This likely indicates that the game’s devs truly put much consideration into the life sim title by adding in such intricate player experiences. And the fans seem to appreciate the devs’ efforts, if they continue to notice such small details years after the game has been launched.

When the Redditor pointed out the fan detail on the thread, many fellow ACNH fans chimed in with their favorite in-game experiences. Some talked about the different sound effects villager footsteps make depending on flooring, while others pointed out that rain can be seen through the windows from inside an Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager home. The sound of rain hitting a player’s umbrella also changes depending on the intensity of the rainfall, really immersing fans even though they are just adventuring through a fictional world.

Unfortunately, it is more likely that Nintendo will announce a new game instead of further updating Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, this will probably not deter the game’s players who have lovingly built their villagers’ lives and homes from continuing to play the video game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
