Amazon Prime is Giving Away One of the Best Open World RPGs Ever Made

Amazon Prime subscribers now have the opportunity to claim one of the best open world RPGs ever made free with their subscription.

Amazon Prime subscribers have 25 days from February 4 to claim one of the most critically-acclaimed open world RPGs of all time, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind – Game of the Year Edition, for their GOG libraries. While it’s safe to say most Amazon Prime subscribers are signed up for the 2-day free shipping and access to the extensive Prime Video library, the service also includes free PC games every month.

The Amazon Prime Gaming free games for February 2023 have been revealed, with plans to add new ones on a weekly basis throughout February. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is just one of the first new free games added to the lineup for February 2023, with Onsen Master also available to claim right now. GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

While there are other great games being given away through Amazon Prime right now, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is the headliner for February. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind has an impressive 89 overall rating on Metacritic for the PC version, with many hailing it as one of the best open world RPGs ever made. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind features a large open world for players to explore, many engrossing quests to complete, challenging dungeons, and more. Morrowind is absolutely packed with content, especially the Game of the Year Edition.

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind base game is packed with content by itself, but the Game of the Year edition adds dozens more hours of entertainment. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind – Game of the Year Edition includes the major expansions, Tribunal and Blood Moon, both of which were well-received at the time of their release. Where Morrowind lacks in quality of life features it more than makes up for in sheer amount of content, so Elder Scrolls fans that have never given it a shot may very well want to take Amazon Prime Gaming up on the opportunity to get it free with their subscription.

Some aspects of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind haven’t aged well, which is understandable considering the game originally launched in 2002. However, it’s still a worthwhile experience for Elder Scrolls fans, and it’s interesting to go back and see how Bethesda used it to establish the blueprint that would later be used to bring Oblivion and Skyrim to life. With The Elder Scrolls 6 still years away from release, now is as good a time as any to revisit the classics like Morrowind.

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is available now for PC and Xbox.
