Over the years, Nintendo has created many video game franchises that have become popular. However, few have been around as long as The Legend of Zelda series. Starting with the original The Legend of Zelda for the NES in 1986, the series has since spawned numerous mainline games and spin-offs. Recently, one fan showed off their love for the series in an impressive way.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as TetraBall shared an image of a large number of games they had managed to collect. However, this was no ordinary collection, as it featured a Zelda theme. In addition, another aspect of the collection that made it stand out was its sheer size. Nearly every game in the series was on display, from newer releases such as Breath of the Wild and Cadence of Hyrule to retro offerings like Link to the Past and Majora’s Mask.
In addition to these games, the picture included numerous other pieces of memorabilia. Some items included in the collection were art books, a gold Wii remote, and several Amiibo figures. The collector even had a DVD of the short-lived animated TV series based on the games.
In addition to showing off the collection, TetraBall provided some details about how they managed to find all these Zelda games. According to the Reddit user, they purchased many of the limited edition games close to release before they increased in value. In addition, they noted that many older titles could be found at reasonable prices if the games were not in mint condition. Furthermore, some games were gifted by friends that no longer had an interest in playing them. While TetraBall had acquired almost all the games in the series, they revealed that they were still looking for a copy of the original Zelda: Game & Watch from 1989.
This enormous collection of games and other paraphernalia from The Legend of Zelda franchise caught the attention of numerous fans on Reddit. With over 3,900 upvotes in less than a day, many were impressed with the scope of titles on display. In addition, some were amazed to discover that TetraBall even had the Zelda games for the CD-i. Furthermore, this collection inspired others to try and collect these classic titles themselves. “Some of these games, I’ve never seen! I must acquire them and beat them, too,” one gamer commented.
It is often exciting to see fans showcase their passion for The Legend of Zelda series, such as with this collection of games from TetraBall. With Breath of the Wild 2 expected to release at some point in 2022, it seems that the creator will have another game to add to their gaming catalog.
