Witcher 3 Fan Spends 3 Weeks Creating Incredible Painting of Beauclair Palace

Geralt’s journey in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt has captured the imaginations of players since it was released in 2015. Similar to games like Skyrim and Halo, fans of The Witcher 3 are still playing CD Projekt Red’s game with pride and passion. Some of these fans go above and beyond to bring the world of The Witcher to life. Most recently, a dedicated player spent weeks painting a gorgeous portrait of Beauclair Palace.

Now is a good time to be a fan of The Witcher. As The Witcher gains popularity on Netflix, many players are taking the time to revisit the beloved title. Indeed, the vast world of the franchise lends itself wonderfully to recreations. For those reasons, it should come as no surprise that talented artists are showcasing their abilities by portraying Geralt’s world in new and unique ways.

Reddit user MapleFoxArt recently posted a stunning image of Beauclair Palace that she spent three weeks painting. The painting, which is big, circular, and beautiful, uses the same tones and scenery that appear in The Witcher 3. A testament to The Witcher‘s medieval fantasy roots, Beauclair Palace is an in-game location that serves as a powerful beacon for Geralt on his journeys. Beauclair Palace was added into The Witcher 3 in 2016 as part of the Blood and Wine expansion. It has since become a popular location for the title’s devoted fans.

And, just as Geralt connected with friends old and new in his travels around Beauclair, fan art like this recreation is capable of bringing a community of players together as well. With thousands of likes and hundreds of comments, it’s safe to say that plenty of fans are appreciative of this incredible work of art. And, though the standard quests in The Witcher 3 are thrilling, it can’t be denied that Blood and Wine‘s content is equally worthy of praise by players. Blood and Wine is also a large DLC. With more than fifteen hours of gameplay, the expansion is longer than the entire campaign of Halo Infinite.

In all fairness, MapleFoxArt’s painting is not the first recreation from The Witcher, and it certainly won’t be the last. It does show, however, that even after seven years the title is still powerfully loved by fans. In fact, a map of The Witcher‘s continent was created recently, a feat that shows players the depth of the world. While it’s unclear what future games might hold, or where Geralt’s next adventure might take place, it’s comforting to see such things and be reminded of the dedicated community of Witcher fans.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
