With the Call of Duty: Warzone community having access to Call of Duty: Vanguard weaponry for over a month now, it is not too surprising that players have figured out which guns are the best of the bunch. The latest Call of Duty: Warzone meta sees the Cooper Carbine dominating, though a viral TikTok video encourages players to stop using it.
While those that watch the video will quickly realize that it is a joke, there are likely many people that would prefer Call of Duty: Warzone without the Cooper Carbine. The weapon is a powerhouse, dominating pick rates due to its absurd damage and pinpoint accuracy. With players guaranteed to hit all their shots when firing the gun, anyone can do well with it, and those that combine skill with the overpowered Assault Rifle will be unstoppable.
While the Cooper Carbine may not be the most broken Call of Duty: Warzone weapon ever, it is easy to see why it sits atop the current meta. In the TikTok video from user @itsjibb, the gun is shown decimating everyone that the player comes into contact with. The player drops groups of enemies quickly, killing others from a distance almost as fast as they can drop foes up close. Things get truly absurd when they drop parachuting enemies out of the sky, showing how strong the gun is.
With the weapon unlocked at tier 15 of the Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 1 battle pass, almost everyone has access to the Cooper Carbine by now. As such, it is seen in most matches, and the Assault Rifle’s performance in this video will likely only make it more prevalent going forward. However, what makes the TikTok video so entertaining is the commentary from @itsjibb. Rather than praising the weapon and its many strengths, the player acts like it is completely useless and a weapon that is worth avoiding.
Some of the standout moments in the funny Call of Duty: Warzone video see @itsjibb calling the weapon the “worst” of all the Call of Duty: Vanguard additions and saying that the gun is “trash.” They add that players are better off using the MP-40, pretending that the weapon has a massive amount of recoil when, in reality, it has none. While they “don’t recommend trying it,” they do provide both a long range and short-range loadout for the gun, letting players have viable loadouts for Rebirth Island and Caldera.
While weapons as broken as the Cooper Carbine are usually nerfed quickly, Raven Software has a lot of other Call of Duty: Warzone issues to address. As such, the Cooper Carbine could end up having a long reign of terror that resembles that of the DMR 14.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
