Ubisoft Has Big Request for Assassin’s Creed Mirage Players

  • Ubisoft has requested fans to not spoil the story of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, emphasizing the importance of a spoiler-free launch.
  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage brings back beloved features from previous games, including Social Stealth, Bench Assassination, and Outfit Dyeing.
  • The game introduces new features like the History of Baghdad, but some players are disappointed about the presence of microtransactions.

Ubisoft has urged fans to not reveal any spoilers for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is set to launch this week. The original release date was supposed to be October 12, but Ubisoft surprised the fans by announcing that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will launch on October 5, a week earlier than before.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise is Ubisoft’s crown jewel, and considering its success, the anticipation around a new title’s release is always high. Additionally, Ubisoft is going back to the franchise’s roots with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which has raised players’ expectations as well. Mirage follows the story of Basim, a thief-turned-Assassin, who joins the Hidden Ones under the mentorship of Roshan. There are also several theories suggesting Basim’s connection to one of Assassin’s Creed’s oldest protagonists, Ezio Auditore. However, while their credibility will only be confirmed once the game is available for everyone, Ubisoft has requested fans to refrain from sharing unmarked spoilers about the game’s story.

This message was posted by the official Assassin’s Creed account on Twitter, which reminded players of the game’s imminent arrival, and also made an appeal to let others experience a spoiler-free launch. Thankfully, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been largely spoiler-free so far, with only a few rumors and leaks surfacing occasionally. However, with the release date merely a couple of days away, players should browse through social media platforms carefully as leaks or spoilers could surface any time.

With Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft is bringing back fan-favorite features from the older games in the franchise. For instance, the game will bring back Social Stealth features, which will allow players to move past enemies by blending in with crowds. Furthermore, it will also bring back the classic Bench Assassination feature, which will also allow them to eavesdrop on their targets without being detected. Another popular feature coming to Assassin’s Creed Mirage is Outfit Dyeing, which was a big hit among the fans when it was first introduced in Assassin’s Creed 2 and Brotherhood. To let players relive the experience of the franchise’s very first title, Mirage will also allow players to play the game with a blue-grey filter similar to Assassin’s Creed 1.

Along with the nostalgic features, Mirage is also adding some new features which players are already excited to experience. One of these is the History of Baghdad feature, which will allow players to learn more about the setting of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Although, players aren’t happy about the microtransactions in the game, which has become a common sight in the modern-day gaming industry.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases October 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. An iPhone 15 Pro port is slated for early 2024.
