The Flash Keeps Getting Spoiled By Funko Pops

The following article may contain spoilers for Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The FlashThe Flash has a spoilers problem, or perhaps the issue may affect DC as a whole. In Barry Allen’s case, it comes in the form of Funko Pops, as the brand’s collectible lineup for the movie has now revealed a potential Wonder Woman cameo in the movie.

Previously, leaked images of Funko figures for The Flash had foreshadowed who the film’s true villain would be since a Dark Flash model popped up online to dispel the notion that Michael Shannon’s General Zod was the main bad guy. It’s also been known for a while that Ezra Miller will play several variants of themself in the film, with the official trailer introducing an unsuspecting version of the Flash who’s yet to receive his superpowers.

Now, thanks to a wave of pre-orders that started appearing online across many locations and then Funko’s website, it’s been confirmed that a Wonder Woman vinyl figure is included in The Flash‘s official roster, with each standard figurine retailing for $12. Diana Prince will join the four different versions of the Flash, four different versions of Batman, Supergirl, General Zod, and Iris West to round up the film’s collection. Also included are the accompanying keychain figures Funko usually sells.

When these Funko figures first surfaced on social media, every store had them available for pre-order. As of this writing, they can all be purchased directly from Funko’s store. For Wonder Woman, this is the second movie leak in just a few days, as a different TV advertisement for Shazam! Fury of the Gods also happened to spoil a Gal Gadot cameo in that film.

It must be said that under old DC management, cameos involving stars like Michael Keaton, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gadot were shot and ready to be included in this year’s films, Shazam 2, The Flash, and Aquaman 2. However, some may have been left on the cutting room floor. Gadot’s scenes in The Flash were believed to be in that discarded footage, but this latest development could suggest the contrary.

DC fans will have to wait until summer to see if Wonder Woman is still in The Flash, with Gadot’s role in James Gunn’s DC Universe being a complete mystery. On the other hand, her cameo in Shazam has helped the sequel get solid reviews ahead of its opening weekend.

The Flash is scheduled for release on June 16, 2023
