Temtem Highlights the Major Features That Will Be Available at Launch

Temtem’s long-awaited 1.0 release is around the corner, and a new trailer reveals many interesting features that will become available.

Pokemon-like monster battler Temtem will be leaving Early Access soon and has posted a new trailer showcasing many of the additions that the 1.0 update will bring to the game. Temtem fans can expect lots of new endgame activities that will test their team compositions as well as their tactical skills.

Temtem was crowdfunded on Kickstarter back in 2018 with a goal of €61,000 and entered Steam’s Early Access program in 2020, selling over 500,000 copies in its first month. Temtem is an MMO twist on Pokemon monster collecting. Players explore the floating islands of the Airborne Archipelago capturing Temtem creatures to battle both player and NPC Temtem trainers, with Metroidvania-style exploration that encourages returning to previous locations once new abilities have been acquired. Temtem has had many content updates during its Early Access period as Spanish studio Crema prepares for the game’s full release.

Temtem has announced a release date and trailer for the 1.0 update which is bringing many new features into the game. A new island to explore, Tamer’s Paradise, holds several different activities for Temtem tamers to participate in. The Archtamer’s Sanctum will have players forming a squad to defeat some of the toughest Temtem tamers, with rewards at the end for players who defeat all the opponents without losing. There’s also an arena where players face off against increasingly difficult holo-tamers, and players can either bring their own squad or face the holo-tamers in a draft pick mode with random Temtem.

Several other new areas will test the player’s skills, including the Digiland, TemSafari, and the Ever Shifting Tower. The Digiland is a digital battleground where players can battle in custom-built matches that reward successful challengers with Temtem eggs to help build their creature collection. The TemSafari has players restricted to a different category of Temtem each week, while various positive and negative modifiers will apply such as Wind Temtem dealing increased damage or Rivals starting each fight with the poison status effect. The Ever Shifting Tower sees players fighting their way up the tower for rewards that can be spent at the new shopping center, which includes lots of decorations for the player’s home.

Gamers looking for an alternative to Pokemon can look forward to Temtem‘s 1.0 release on September 6 which will be followed up by new weekly activities along with new seasons and themes every few months.

Temtem is currently in Early Access on PC and PS5 and will become available on Switch and Xbox Series X/S at launch.
