Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was officially unveiled last year at DC FanDome, but fans have had to wait for a long time to see gameplay. It was previously confirmed that Suicide Squad would be featured at The Game Awards, and developer Rocksteady has finally unveiled its first official gameplay trailer.
Suicide Squad is an open world action-adventure game set in Metropolis and takes place after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. It has a big focus on co-op, but can also be played solo with AI partners. As the name suggests, the story revolves around killing members of the Justice League. Key members of the Justice League, including Superman and Green Lantern, are under Brainiac’s control, and it now falls on the group of unlikely heroes to save the world.
The trailer of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League begins by confirming that Flash has also been brainwashed, and players have been tasked with killing him. The video goes over some of the unique abilities of all four playable members of Suicide Squad – Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark. The action-packed trailer gives a glimpse of the sheer variety of weapons and moves available to the group, before ending with what look likes a final confrontation with Flash.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is scheduled to release in 2022 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
