Starfield Fan Gathers All Concept Art Into One Place

Now that Starfield is delayed to next year, fans have to make do with teaser images, and one person makes it easier to view them all in one place.

Fans are undoubtedly crestfallen that Starfield is now delayed with a projected launch window sometime in 2023, though no specific date has been given. With the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase coming up next month, there is the distinct likelihood that more will at least be revealed about the game, though whether that’s in the form of a trailer or some actual in-game footage remains to be seen. In the meantime, fans will have to make do with the concept art that’s already been released, and one person has managed to collate it all into one place.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Reddit user iTardavk has put together a Wiki page specifically for all the concept art that’s been used to promote Starfield. Like all good Wikipedia entries, it has dedicated sections for each specific type of image. For example, there is a section for some of the cities that have been shown off, some of the spaceships, tileset pieces, as well as interior and exterior locations.

Because this is concept art only, there are no screenshots or videos. Therefore, the site does not have the latest leaked Starfield image, which appears to be a screenshot of a door. Given the delay, fans have been keeping themselves amused, and this single leaked image has been the source of entertainment for some. While it’s still interesting to see images from the upcoming sci-fi game and there have been people impressed by the level of detail in the door, others have made joking comments about how the door will surely earn Starfield “GOTY” status.

In addition to that, a number of artists also made their own Starfield trailer in Unreal Engine 5. Using numerous assets and a bunch of other tools, the artists created a teaser of Bethesda’s upcoming space exploration epic that is quite spectacular to behold. Of course, it’s not the real thing, but it’s still an impressive piece of footage. At this point, many waiting for the game are just doing what they can to entertain themselves between now and whenever the game eventually launches.

Bethesda recently announced the delay of Starfield, along with Arkane Studio’s Redfall. According to a tweet from the developer, the reason behind the delay is a desire to make sure that both titles are of the highest quality. It seems as though some studios are learning from the mistakes that led to immense backlash when Cyberpunk 2077 first dropped at the end of 2020.
