Square Enix has just opened a call for Final Fantasy 7 fans to ask questions about certain aspects of the game’s history for one of its upcoming programs with the development team. For members of the community who want to know more about the history of Final Fantasy 7, this is a great way to be heard by the devs and learn about what went on behind the creation of the iconic video game.
2023 has been a big year for the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy 16 was a big success this year, the MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 made waves online with the reveal of its new expansion Dawntrail, and major announcements for Final Fantasy 7 titles Rebirth and Ever Crisis were made as well. In fact, the upcoming mobile game Ever Crisis just revealed its official release date for September 2023. And with Rebirth set for launch early 2024, the fans have a lot to look forward to when it comes to one of Square Enix’s most popular video game franchises.
Sharing details about the Final Fantasy 7 “Creator Interview” program in the official Japanese website of Square Enix, the company is asking fans to send in their questions regarding what they want to know about the game’s infamous Shinra Company and the series’ main antagonist Sephiroth. The program will feature Kazushige Nojima, Scenario Writer for Final Fantasy 7 and founder of Stellavista Ltd., as well as Producer Shoichi Ichikawa of Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis. Both members probably have a lot of trivia and interesting information to share about the respective titles they have worked on.
It makes sense that Square Enix is addressing the long history of Final Fantasy 7‘s Shinra Company and the story behind Sephiroth now. Ever Crisis is launching very soon, and the mobile game’s story puts some of its focus on the silver-haired antagonist’s side of things. And with the company requesting fans to get involved in the interview by sending in their questions, Square Enix is probably looking to draw in more involvement to entice the fan base to check out the game when it releases.
Unfortunately, fans will need to have an official Square Enix account to send in their queries for the Final Fantasy 7 Creator Interview. What’s more, there is no information if the site will take questions from global Final Fantasy 7 fans. However, they can still watch the interview once it airs, and hopefully others were able to send in the same questions they have had about the game.
Final Fantasy 7 is available for mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS1, PS4, and Xbox One.
