Alongside edits that reimagine Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher 3 as Arthur Morgan, and artwork that combines the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption 2 with an Archer-like style, one fan has decided to see what Tobey Maguire would look like as the famous outlaw. With Spider-Man star Tom Holland recently taking on the role of Nathan Drake from the Uncharted Series, some fans are beginning to speculate what other famous characters could be played by Spider-Man actors.

User u/michaeltherobber posted their edit of Tobey Maguire as Arthur Morgan. The image shows Maguire’s face edited onto the model of Morgan, with some stubble added for that grizzled, cowboy aesthetic. Though the crossover art was an unexpected one for many, Redditors took to the comments to share their praise and relate the edit to the “Bully Maguire” meme that shows the evil Spidey from Spider-Man 3 in various scenarios, such as a fan-made Family Feud episode.

Though many saw the humourous side to the post, others were confused as to why Tobey Maguire would ever be considered to be cast as Red Dead Redemption 2’s protagonist. “That’s just blasphemy,” one user commented in regards to the post, while another labelled the image as cursed. Whether the edit really makes sense or not is up to personal opinion, yet many have shared a good laugh at the idea of a low honor Arthur as Bully Maguire regardless.

With the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a teaser for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the trailer dropping for a new Spider-Man game coming in 2023, there’s been a recent celebration of Spider-Man in all of the character’s iterations. And as Tobey Maguire has made his way from the big screen into a fan-edit of Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 recently made its way to the big screen, as Tom Holland revealed a move from the game made it into the final cut of No Way Home.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
