Red Dead Online Player Recreates Boba Fett from Star Wars

Fortunately, there is more to Red Dead Online than just moonshine, rifles, and bar fights since players can pay a visit to one of the in-game general stores or tailors to customize their very own character’s appearance. From spur-tacked boots to jackets, there are plenty of clothing options in Red Dead Online to choose from the very moment the action-adventure multiplayer shooter is booted up. But, while most players throw on a cowboy hat and call it a day, there are some imaginative creatives out there who seek to push this creation system to its absolute limit.

For the uninitiated, Red Dead Online‘s detailed character customization has encouraged players to produce inspired iterations of popular fictional characters, such as Trevor from Grand Theft Auto 5. This is thanks to how the Red Dead Online puts heavy emphasis on role-playing and freedom detached from scripted narrative consequences, unlike the story mode, which essentially makes the multiplayer game a black chalkboard for players to experiment with and create. In line with ideology, this latest creation sees an iconic sci-fi character with a penchant for bounty hunting invading the Old American Frontier.

By choosing from Red Dead Redemption 2’s vast gallery of unique outfits, Reddit user FlemboiSchmuck has remarkably recreated one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. Straight off the bat, it is clear that this digital interpretation of Boba Fett has it all, including his signature black poncho, Mandalorian battle armor, and wrist gauntlets. Inspecting closer finds that even franchise actor Temuera Morrison’s likeness is represented to an amazingly accurate degree here, with his bald head and trademark glare present on the character.

For those who have seen none of the films or shows, Boba Fett is a prominent character in Star Wars. Although, coincidentally, he shares also several similarities with Red Dead Online’s main player character. After all, he too is a gunslinging outlaw known for being a rather reserved figure who speaks very little. However, the similarities end here, as Boba was designed in a test tube to be a genetic clone of his father, Jango Fett. From there, Boba learned combat and martial skills from a young age. Later on, throughout his debauched career, he took on contracts for the Empire and the criminal underworld, making him a feared legend in the galaxy.

In summary, extraordinary crossover creations like this prove that the Red Dead Online community is far from creative bankruptcy. Even though it’s been three years since the multiplayer game debuted, there are still many active players who log on to flex their imagination and prove that game’s ever-evolving fashion trends have not stilted in the slightest.

Red Dead Online is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
