Twitch streamer QTCinderella has apologized for the recent drama involving JustAMinx. This comes almost a week after the Streamer Awards, where JustAMinx reportedly caused the after-party to get shut-down after causing a scene.
QTCinderella and JustAMinx used to be close friends who often made content together. However, as QTCinderella explained, they had a falling out because of JustAMinx’s alleged issues with alcohol and being unreceptive of any advice to get help. Despite promising that she wasn’t going to drink at the Streamer Awards, QTCinderella and other guests said that JustAMinx got intoxicated at the after-party, to the point that she was messing up the venue and harassing people. When this came to light, JustAMinx seemed apologetic and has asked to pay for the damages.
After a drama-filled few days, QTCinderella tweeted about the situation, explaining that she hasn’t streamed on Twitch because she was still overwhelmed about what happened, and asked people to “stop attacking streamers on my behalf.” She also admitted that it was a mistake to bring up things like the JustAMinx drama to the public eye, and that she wouldn’t do it again. In the replies, JustAMinx promised that she will be working on herself this year.
Many online users agreed with QTCinderella’s tweet, emphasizing that people should respect both streamers. They also asked her to take time for herself, and that they will patiently wait for her to stream again once she’s ready. Meanwhile, some seemed to appreciate QTCinderella’s transparency about what transpired during the Streamer Awards.
As many people, including streamers like Alinity, have pointed out, JustAMinx seems like she needs help, and she doesn’t deserve unwarranted attacks towards her. While it doesn’t absolve JustAMinx of any mistakes she may have made, she also apologized many times for the trouble she’s caused. Many fans also seem to be supportive of the streamer’s road to recovery, and have encouraged her to seek help whenever she’s able. As for her friendship with QTCinderella, only time will tell if they will be able to fix things between them.
Twitch drama can be messy as streamers often put their lives out there because of the nature of their jobs. Sometimes, the controversies can also happen live on stream, like xQc and Adept’s arguments. It may seem entertaining to some people, but it can result with many viewers attacking public personalities in an attempt to defend their favorites. Drama and public disagreements are sometimes unavoidable, so it’s only a matter of how public personalities will handle it.
