PS Plus Premium Free Game Trials Titles and Times Leak Online

A new leak reveals the list of time-limited game trials offered to PlayStation Plus Premium members and the duration of their trial periods.

The new PlayStation Plus tiers are officially available in some Asian regions. PlayStation Plus Premium is the highest tier of this revamped service, and it comes with a few exclusive features. For starters, users can download and play PS1, PS2, and PSP games, and they also get access to PS3 titles via streaming.

Time-limited game trials are another unique selling point of the Premium tier. Subscribers can download the full game from the available list and play it for a minimum of two hours, allowing them to get a hands-on experience with the game before deciding. Sony also confirmed that trophies and save data would carry forward if they choose to purchase the game.

Sony had recently shared a list of game trials available at launch. PS Plus Premium subscribers can play games like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Horizon Forbidden West, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and WWE 2K22 for a few hours at no extra cost. However, Sony had only revealed some games available in each category of these new tiers. PlayStationSize on Twitter now shares a complete list of available games that will offer this feature and the number of hours of the trial period. All leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but this information appears to come from the Asian PlayStation Store.

PS Plus Premium members can play WWE 2K22, Elex 2, Biomutant, MotoGP 22, Lego City Undercover, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for a maximum of two hours. Farming Simulator 22 and Crusader Kings 3 are available for three, while the trials for Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Forbidden West last five hours.

Cyberpunk 2077’s lengthy trial period makes sense, as CD Projekt Red offered the same alongside the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. However, it’s surprising for Sony to let users play Horizon Forbidden West, a marquee first-party game, for five hours. Horizon Forbidden West’s massive length and the extended period before players get to explore the entire open world could be possible reasons for this decision.

Time-limited game trials are perhaps PlayStation Plus Premium’s most unique feature. It gives members a substantial amount of time to try out the game and even includes recently released titles. While the collection looks small at launch, Sony confirmed that the lineup will get refreshed in the middle of every month. It’ll be interesting to see how Sony develops this feature throughout the PS5 generation and if it offers lengthy trials for upcoming first-party games like God of War Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
