A Pokemon fan has shared their concept for what a Paradox Entei may end up looking like, crossing the Legendary creature with a Triceratops. The idea comes complete with a Pokedex entry and a shiny variant and looks like it could fit in well with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon fans have been excited following the recent Pokemon Presents that gave a glimpse of upcoming Pokemon games and DLC releases. In particular, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players got a closer look at The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which unveiled Paradox forms for Cobalion and Entei’s fellow Gen 2 Legendary Pokemon, Raikou. However, with a Paradox form for Entei yet to be revealed, fans have been stepping in to bring its Paradox form to life.
Such is the case with Reddit user CaligoMilites, who shared their imagining of Paradox Entei, crossing it with a Triceratops. With both of the official Paradox designs for Raikou and Cobalion having dinosaur elements, it’s a logical conclusion to think that Entei may follow suit. This fan’s take on its possible design takes elements from real-world Triceratops, like its iconic bony frills guarding the neck and the trio of horns adorning its forehead and snout. Overall, the Paradox form of Entei has become more stout, with shorter and wider legs that look like it would make it hard to topple in a face-to-face brawl with another Pokemon.
The Shiny version of the Paradox Entei deviates from the standard Shiny Entei’s colorings, with the frill on its neck turning a reddish-pink, pale gold horns, and grey spikes on its back. The proposed Paradox form becomes a Fire-Dragon type, and the Pokedex entry states that the creature sleeps in volcanoes and causes them to erupt when it awakens. Based on its appearance and characteristics, Pokemon fans suggested names for the creature like Crushing Flame and Rumbling Eruption, the latter of which CaligoMilites particularly liked.
Pokemon fans have had mixed reactions to the new official Paradox Legendaries that Game Freak has revealed. While the cross with dinosaur species seems to have been taken well, the long neck of Raging Bolt has been the subject of numerous jokes and memes across the internet since the Pokemon Presents was held. Fans remain hopeful that whatever Paradox form Entei eventually receives will do the Legendary justice, but for now, only Game Freak knows what lies ahead. Thankfully, players don’t have too long to wait for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC release date, and those who don’t like the new designs will at least have additional content to look forward to.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available now for Nintendo Switch.
