Hamilton announced a surprising collaboration with Roblox to bring its popular musical to the online game platform. While Roblox offers many different games for its users, this will be the first time Alexander Hamilton and his allies officially appear on the platform.

Ever since its release in 2006, Roblox has been letting players create their own games and make some money from it should others decide to play it. Roblox saw the emergence of various games, from the cute Adopt Me! MMORPG to Murder Mystery 2 and Brookhaven RP. Roblox also features many music and rhythm games, from the Friday Night Funkin’-inspired game Monday Morning Misery to the popular Splash, which has gathered over 350 million visits. Thanks to its large variety of available games, players can find almost anything they want on Roblox, or create the game of their dreams if it is missing from the existing library.

A game inspired by Hamilton is now available on Roblox, letting players fight their enemies with music from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical. A video published on Hamilton’s YouTube channel gives a sneak peek of this new Roblox game, called Hamilton Simulator. Alexander Hamilton, bearing the traits of Lin-Manuel Miranda, fights alongside other characters from the musical against various enemies. Players can create their own squad and select their favorite characters before heading to Hamilton’s universe and defeating their foes with the power of music, all with soundtracks from the musical.

Each character from this Hamilton Roblox game has a rarity level, seemingly ranging from Common to Mythical according to this trailer. The full roster includes 100 characters from Hamilton, such as Angelica Schuyler, Maria Reynolds, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton’s son Philip. Players can spend the in-game currency or their hard-earned Robux to purchase new companions to add to their team, with a maximum of five active members in a squad. Each character deals a specific amount of damage, not by drawing swords on their enemies but by singing in tune with the others.

This isn’t the first time Hamilton has appeared in video games. An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player recreated the entire first act of Hamilton on their island, and while this feat is impressive, it didn’t let anyone else discover this universe and its music. With a soundtrack directly inspired by Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical, Hamilton Simulator will reach new players that may not have seen the show yet and provide an irresistible experience for fans of the musical.
