Legend of Zelda Fan Gets Awesome Majora’s Mask Tattoo

One fan of The Legend of Zelda series decides to get a tattoo featuring Skull Kid and the fairy Tael from the Nintendo 64 game Majora’s Mask.

The Legend of Zelda franchise has been around for nearly three decades, spawning many memorable titles full of exciting adventures. While most people might associate the games with Link, the hero of the series, other characters are worth remembering. One of those captivating individuals was Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

Following the very successful release of Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask had the daunting challenge of continuing the popularity of the franchise. Fortunately, the game was well-received, with many gamers praising the eerie design of the main protagonist, Skull Kid. In the story, the character discovered Majora’s Mask and used its magical power to cause mayhem in the land of Termina. Recently, one fan received some interesting artwork of this unusual villain.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Silas_in_the_closet shared a picture of a recent tattoo they received. However, this was no ordinary tattoo, as it featured a stunning image of Skull Kid from Majora’s Mask. Located on the upper right arm of the Reddit user, the design featured the character wearing the iconic Majora’s Mask. In addition to the impressive appearance of Skull Kid, the tattoo included Tael, one of the fairies seen throughout the story. While another fairy, Tatl, was found with Skull Kid at the start of the game, Silas_in_the_closet decided not to include it because it stays with Link for most of the adventure. One highlight of the artwork was that it featured color on the mask and Tael, helping to make the picture stand out.

This awesome Majora’s Mask tattoo received by Silas_in_the_closet made an impression on numerous members of The Legend of Zelda community on Reddit. Many were impressed with the level of detail displayed in the design, as it accumulated over 1,200 upvotes in less than a day. In addition, some commented that they liked that the mask and Tael were the only parts of the artwork that had color. Furthermore, another fan even claimed that they wanted to get a tattoo done in a similar style to the one seen in the Reddit post.

It’s exciting to see new artwork inspired by The Legend of Zelda series created by talented fans. Besides this impressive Skull Kid tattoo based on Majora’s Mask, one gamer recently remade Kakariko Village from Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. As fans continue to wait for the release of Breath of the Wild 2, presumably sometime this year, it will be interesting to see what other things fans design based on the series in the interim.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is available now for 3DS, GameCube, N64, and Wii U.
