Among the numerous Hogwarts Legacy activities that players can participate in is Summoner’s Court, which is similar to the real-life Bocce ball, and one player has won a match of this game with a clutch move. Summoner’s Court can be played near the front of Hogwarts castle, and while every player is taken through at least one game of it, this Hogwarts Legacy fan has seemingly mastered the magical competition.
Although the Harry Potter movies focused prominently on wizard chess and Quidditch, the main game in Hogwarts Legacy is Summoner’s Court, and there are some student NPCs that stand as its champions until the player can defeat them. Hogwarts Legacy players must work their way through Leander Prewett, Samantha Dale, Grace Pinch-Smedley, Charlotte Morrison, and finally, Professor Ronen to become the top Summoner’s Court witch or wizard. Because Quidditch isn’t available in Hogwarts Legacy, some players have become experts at Summoner’s Court like this one who made a clutch move.
Reddit user MayDay521 recently shared a Hogwarts Legacy clip in which they’re facing off against Leander Prewett in Summoner’s Court, who concludes his turn by pulling one of his balls all the way into the green zone which is worth 30 points. Having zero points of their own, the Hogwarts Legacy protagonist looks to the back corner at their one remaining ball and uses Accio to bring it toward one of Prewett’s balls which is hit off the board. As it rebounds off one of the Summoner’s Court obstacles, Prewett’s ball hits MayDay521’s blue one into another red one which coasts off the board, leaving only MayDay521’s untouched.
The one blue ball at the finish line barely avoids falling off the edge itself by transferring its momentum on contact with the Hogwarts Legacy Gryffindor NPC’s, sitting comfortably out of view of the upcoming red sphere. Because MayDay521’s clip concludes before the end of the Hogwarts Legacy Summoner’s Court match, it’s currently unclear if the match ended in a draw or not. MayDay521’s ball was in the 50-point end zone when the video finishes which suggests that Leander Prewett would have had to get the best score possible just to tie the customized Hogwarts Legacy character.
According to MayDay521, their skillful use of the Hogwarts Legacy Accio spell may have resulted in their best shot, but part of their success seems based on luck with the obstacle that shot their ball into Leander Prewett’s. Given that Prewett is just the first of several Hogwarts Legacy NPCs that MayDay521 will have to compete against on the Summoner’s Court board, their prospects of beating the others may have improved with this clutch move.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox One versions launching May 5 and a Nintendo Switch port releasing July 25.
