Hitman Trilogy Announced For Xbox Game Pass

Hitman Trilogy, a collection featuring the 3 latest Hitman games, releases on Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC on day 1.

Hitman 3 launched on January 20, 2021, to extremely favorable reviews. While it received praise for being a fitting conclusion to the Hitman trilogy, Hitman 3 did not get nominated for any major awards at The Game Awards. Releasing so early in the year was perhaps the biggest cause for it being omitted.

Hitman 3 broke away from the episodic formula of the 2016 reboot and all levels were available on launch day. The release of smaller content updates allowed fans to keep coming back to the game. A few days ago, IO Interactive announced that it will reveal more information regarding Year 2 content for Hitman 3 via a prerecorded 15-minute video on January 13.

IO Interactive has just now released a lot of exciting new information regarding features that will come to Hitman 3 throughout 2022. Most notable was the announcement of Hitman Trilogy, a collection of all 3 games, which will release next week on January 20, 2022. IO Interactive also confirmed that this collection will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day 1 for both console and PC. Xbox Game Pass members can use this opportunity to play Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 with all the gameplay improvements that were introduced in the third game.

Hitman 3 will also launch on Steam for the first time. The PC version only got released on the Epic Games Store with a confirmed exclusivity window of 1 year. Fans who do not want to use Epic’s launcher now can play Hitman 3 with full support for VR, ray tracing, and variable-rate shading among other PC features.

Both Hitman Trilogy and Rainbow Six Extraction will be available to Xbox Game Pass members when they launch on January 20. Xbox Game Pass continues to grow its lineup of games and the addition of more third-party titles as day 1 releases will probably entice more users to join. January has already been a stellar month for Xbox Game Pass, as fans have received access to Spelunky 2, Outer Wilds, and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition among others.

Hitman Trilogy launches on January 20 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
