A GTA Online player found a humpback whale on a random beach in the middle of the ocean. Grand Theft Auto Online is a game that never ceases to amaze its players with its vast and diverse open world. From heists and races to casinos and nightclubs, there is always something new and exciting to do in Los Santos and beyond. On the other hand, gamers can escape the bustling city life and explore the wilderness of vast oceans or mountains in GTA Online.
In addition, GTA Online has the most extensive roster of animals found in any Grand Theft Auto game, as it has numerous wild creatures like deer, coyotes, boars, and cougars. The devs have added more animals via updates, including marine creatures like orcas, sharks, and a few fish species. One of the rarest sea animals in GTA Online is the humpback whale, which is available only in the enhanced version of the game. Now, one player has encountered a whale that washed ashore on a beach in the middle of the ocean.
The incident was recently witnessed by Reddit user ssweatband, who posted a screenshot of their encounter with a beached whale in the middle of the ocean. The image shows their character standing on the giant sea creature, who seemingly washed up on a small beach in Grand Theft Auto Online. Humpback whales are the largest creatures in the Grand Theft Auto universe, nearly as massive as the Benson truck. However, they are passive animals as they will not attack the player and cannot be killed with any weapon in GTA Online.
The Reddit post has sparked a lot of discussion among GTA Online fans, who have shared their theories and jokes about this strange phenomenon. Most people joked about the alleged relationship between the appearance of the humpback whale and Mt. Chiliad, the highest mountain in the state of San Andreas. The aforementioned GTA Online location is the subject of several conspiracy theories among GTA fans.
While this glitch may seem like an isolated incident, beached whales are a rare but legitimate wildlife encounter in GTA Online. Usually, beached whales can be found on Cayo Perico island in GTA Online, near a fishing jetty on the northeastern side. They have a 50% chance of spawning, and gamers can photograph them for Heist Prep: Gather Intel mission. Beached whales are not unique to GTA Online as they are also present in GTA 5’s single-player mode, where they can be found on various beaches around San Andreas.
Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
