Grand Theft Auto Online allows players to interact with the setting of Los Santos as their own custom characters in the game. On top of that, the GTA Online RP NoPixel server allows players and streamers to roleplay together and share their online adventures with others.
One of the more well-known GTA roleplaying Twitch streamers, xQc, has his own character called “Jean Paul” or “X” in the GTA RP NoPixel server. xQc’s character Jean Paul started at the bottom committing various petty crimes like house robberies, lock-picking, and bank robberies. Since then, xQc’s Jean Paul was one of several notorious figures in Los Santos on the NoPixel server. What xQc didn’t expect was that he would get a shoutout from Steven Ogg, the actor of Trevor Philips from Grand Theft Auto 5.
The shoutout came during Nymn’s New Year’s Show hosted by the streamer Nymn, which was an award show celebrating some of the best and funniest Twitch moments. xQc was awarded the 2021 Streamer of the Year Award, and other fellow streamers spoke about their experiences with him, including Cr1TiKaL and QTCinderella. However, Steven Ogg also provided his own congratulations to xQc with a video message to him and his character Jean Paul, a.k.a. “X.”
Ogg congratulated xQc and wished him a Happy New Year’s for 2022 while joking around about why X didn’t invite Trevor Philips to any of his bank heists. He then proceeds to wish xQc happy holidays, hoping that he and his loved ones are safe and healthy and that he spreads love, kindness, and jokingly adds bank heists at the end but says not really.
This isn’t the first time that Twitch streamer xQc got a shoutout from someone famous. xQc received some praise from rapper Lil Uzi Vert on a livestream he had with the rapper and fellow streamer Trainwreckstv. On the stream, they had conversations discussing various topics but the one focused on creativity and originality is where the two found themselves agreeing. Lil Uzi said, “He’s really cool.” and xQc thanked him and also praised Lil Uzi.
xQc has had quite the history with the GTA Online RP NoPixel servers, as the streamer has been banned from the NoPixel server on multiple occasions. Many of which involved his character Jean Paul doing things that violated rules set in the NoPixel server, like intentionally hitting other players with his car. The last time that xQc had been banned from the NoPixel server, some of his fans had thought that he was banned for good that time. However, xQc ended up returning to the GTA Online RP NoPixel server to plenty of people’s surprise.
Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
