As many other Genshin Impact fans continue to lament the issues with Dehya, others experiment with the new character including one that discovered another problem with her Elemental Burst. Dehya was introduced to Genshin Impact just a few days ago and the problematic Pyro character is already making waves for the wrong reasons, but this one may be the icing on the cake.
A Reddit user has come across a new issue with Dehya, specifically pertaining to her Burst ability and how it can easily be canceled beyond a player’s control. Dehya has already garnered a lot of backlash from the Genshin Impact community for how little damage she does and the effects of her Burst compared to most other characters. One player has found an interesting use for Dehya and her passive ability which may entice some players to add her to their rotation even with the potential drawbacks, but this Reddit user has another argument against the Pyro character.
Reddit user LeKebabGeek has garnered 9,200 upvotes on their upload of Genshin Impact gameplay of Dehya using her Burst which is suddenly canceled. The video begins with the player unleashing Dehya’s Burst in Genshin Impact with the short animation that’s followed by multiple fiery strikes that aren’t being directed at any enemies. The clip proceeds to highlight that Dehya is stopped by some nearby crates and barrels, with damage on the other side likely shielded had any mobs been there to avoid it.
Given that Dehya’s Burst is thwarted in LeKebabGeek’s video, other players that have enemies on the other side of such obstacles may not be so lucky. There are many areas of Genshin Impact‘s world of Teyvat that have ground clutter similar to the crates and barrels in LeKebabGeek’s video, and Dehya mains may also want to avoid these spots when using their Bursts. As the Pyro character is still full of issues like this, it’s currently unclear when she may become a more viable party member or if she ever will.
Because so many players have voiced their displeasure for Dehya within the first few days of the character’s addition to the Genshin Impact lineup, it’s likely that Hoyoverse will fix some of her issues with a future update. Although some players are avoiding Dehya because of her issues, other Genshin Impact fans have accepted the challenge of discovering every problem associated with the Pyro character before she’s fixed.
Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
