Genshin Impact Making Kazari Mask Permanent Item

The upcoming Version 2.5 update for Genshin Impact will add popular quest NPC Kazari’s mask as a furnishing for the player’s Serenitea Pot.

Throughout Genshin Impact‘s massively successful run since the open-world gacha RPG launched in late 2020, the game’s roster of diverse and unique characters have been one of its most popular elements. From the surge of excitement that follows the announcements of new playable additions like the recently-revealed Kamisato Ayato to even minor NPCs who play a much smaller role in the game’s story like Mondstadt’s alchemist Timaeus, the world of Teyvat features a wide cast of interesting characters that many fans of the game have grown attached to.

Among the most popular of the game’s minor NPCs to play a major role in Genshin Impact is the mysterious shrine maiden Kazari. Players first meet the peculiar priestess not long after arriving at the Japan-inspired island nation of Inazuma and talking to her initiates one of the region’s major sub-quests, the “Sacred Sakura Cleaning Ritual.” The quest has become among the most popular side stories among fans, and recent patch notes for the game’s upcoming 2.5 update have revealed a keepsake for players to remember the quest will be added in the new version.

The official update notice for Genshin Impact‘s Version 2.5 update, titled “When the Sakura Bloom,” makes reference to the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest near the end of the post in the “Adjustments and Optimization” section. Players who have completed the quest will be able to speak to an NPC named Inagi Hitomi at the Grand Narukami Shrine to obtain Kazari’s mask as a furnishing for the player’s Serenitea Pot. The update does not mention any time limit to obtain the mask, so it is presumed the furnishing will be a permanent addition as a bonus reward.

The furnishing based on Kazari’s mask is only a small part of a major update for Genshin Impact that will introduce not only the long-awaited Yae Miko’s introduction as a playable character, but also the addition of Raiden Shogun as a new weekly boss and the newest chapter of the Traveler’s story. Genshin Impact‘s 2.5 update will also see the introduction of the previously announced outfit re-designs for four Mondstadt characters, alongside several smaller changes and bug fixes.

As Genshin Impact moves into the second full calendar year since the game stormed onto the scene, MiHoYo’s popular RPG looks to have plenty on the horizon for players to look forward to. Alongside the recent reveal of Kamisato Ayato, the game’s recent “Special Program” broadcast for Version 2.5 revealed the first teaser for the highly-anticipated Chasm region of Liyue and recent leaks suggest the game’s fourth major region, Sumeru, is set to arrive this summer. 2022 is looking to be another strong year for MiHoYo and Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
