A recent leak from Genshin Impact has revealed in-game model of a new world boss, which will allegedly be added in version 4.2 later this year. Over the last week, a roundup of leaks has emerged on Reddit, providing players with new information about upcoming enemies. Some reliable leakers claimed that Genshin Impact version 4.2 will bring a brand-new enemy called Ptakhur, whose design reminds vicious creatures from the Spiral Abyss. It has also been speculated that Childe’s whale will be the next weekly boss players will encounter in Fontaine.

Genshin Impact version 4.1 update is now here, featuring a great deal of content for players to enjoy. From new events, world quests, and a daily commission system to banner characters, it brought everything players have been waiting for weeks. The five-star catalyst user Neuvillette made his introduction along with Wriothesley, a melee-based character with a Cryo vision. Players can pull both characters from the current banner to expand their roster. The first half of Genshin Impact version 4.1 also featured another rerun for Hu Tao, whose kit is centered around the Pyro element. Players have plenty of time to purchase this ghost-loving girl until her banner is removed on October 17.

A new Genshin Impact leak from Mero has revealed the complete model of a world boss, which is expected to arrive in Fontaine in version 4.2. It looks like an underwater creature with one big eye and two thorns on its shoulders. It’s worth noting that this mysterious boss has bone plates and mutations like Genshin Impact‘s consecrated beasts. There also remains the possibility that it’s one of Oceanids with two hands. As seen in the model, the creature is made of pure Hydro element like many Fontaine-based enemies.

Fellow Genshin Impact players have jumped into the comments to express their thoughts on the creature’s model, with some speculating that it’s the Hydro version of consecrated beast. A portion of players claimed that its face looks similar to Childe’s mask in his foul legacy state. Not to mention, this in-game model is just a leak that should be taken with caution for the time being.

Aside from this unidentified creature, Genshin Impact version 4.2 will allegedly add a new weekly boss, which is none other than Childe’s enigmatic whale. It’s a Fontaine-based boss that can be found underwater. More information about these enemies will likely be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
