Genshin Impact has an abundance of unique characters, which is one of its biggest assets. Pulling for a limited character is the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact can look forward to.
Genshin Impact update 2.3 has brought two banners, a double re-run for the first cycle and two brand new characters Itto and Gorou for the second banner. Both of these characters have arrived at the live server, which means that players already have the option to pull for Arataki Itto.
The second banner cycle for Genshin Impact update 2.3 has just arrived, and the new limited five-star character, Arataki Itto, has already become one of the fan-favorites. His unique personality alongside his DPS potential has surely played a big part in his sudden popularity. A recent post by the official Genshin Impact subreddit has revealed a fan-made wish animation for Itto and it gathered over 17k upvotes. The animations are reminiscent of the popular FIFA pack openings, and it doesn’t seem unlikely that miHoYo could add a similar method of introducing five-star characters.
Arataki Itto has been leaked numerous times over the last couple of months, and players will finally have the opportunity to pull for him. He will most likely be a DPS character considering that his ascension attribute is Critical Damage, which already gives him a head-start in the damage output against most DPS characters. When it comes to his Elemental Burst, it provides a damage buff for a couple of seconds, similar to Razor’s or Beidou’s Elemental Burst. The buff will allow his Normal, Charged, and Plunged attack to deal Geo damage.
Itto’s banner will bring three four-star characters as well – Gorou, Barbara, and Xiangling. Developer miHoYo has intentionally put Gorou on the same banner as Itto because they have great synergy. Gorou’s whole kit is based on having multiple Geo users in his party and he is actually one of the weakest characters in the game if not paired with one or two Geo characters. A recent post on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed that a Geo party with Albedo, Itto, Zhongli, and Gorou has a slightly stronger DPS potential compared to when you swap in Bennet for Gorou in the support role.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
