Genshin Impact Fan Creates Impressive Bond Intro For New Character Yelan

A Genshin Impact fan shares a funny video featuring one of the recent roster additions, Yelan, as the main character of a James Bond-themed intro.

Genshin Impact‘s character roster keeps expanding with each new update, and the game introduces around 20 new characters each year. The most recent character that was added to the game was the popular Hydro bow user from Inazuma, Yelan.

The addition of a new unit to the playable roster often inspires fans to create their own content based on the character’s image. An interesting post on the popular Genshin Impact subreddit shows a hilarious fan-made video featuring one of the new characters.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Reddit user WintrySnowman has shared an interesting James Bond-themed intro that includes one of the recently released characters, thy Hydro user Yelan. She is part of the current Discerner of Enigmas banner featured on the ongoing Genshin Impact Version 2.7. The creator of the video has revealed that the inspiration for the clip came from a recent fan comment that claimed that the music for the 2.7 livestream event sounded like the one from the 1999 Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough.

The majority of the community loved the video, and it has already gathered over 1.5K upvotes. The creator of the clip also revealed that it is based on a scene from another Bond movie named Die Another Day, released in 2002. The video perfectly suits Yelan, who is a mysterious Genshin Impact character and basically an agent that works for the popular Ministry of Civil Affairs.

After a three-week delay, players finally have the option to spend their Primogems in order to add Yelan to their playable roster. At the time of her reveal a couple of weeks ago, Yelan was considered to be a slightly stronger version of the four-star Hydro user Xingqiu. However, since she officially joined the roster, Yelan has become one of the most special characters in all of Genshin Impact. Even though she has the potential to dish out tons of damage on the battlefield, players claim that she is actually a sub-DPS character.

Multiple replies in the comment section claim that WintrySnowman should do a similar video for the upcoming character Shikanoin Heizou, who is a popular detective from Inazuma. Similar to James Bond, he has a unique approach to his work, which often causes a lot of trouble. The game’s official social media accounts have already confirmed that he is a new Anemo catalyst user, which makes him the first male character that uses the catalyst. However, numerous Genshin Impact 2.8 beta leaks revealed that, unlike most catalyst users, he prefers fighting close combat.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
