Genshin Impact update 2.4 will add two brand new characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin, and both of them are expected to arrive on the same limited character banner.
Exploration is one of the game’s main draws and adding a new region to explore is certainly one of the most exciting things for most casual Genshin Impact players. The last couple of updates have brought the long-awaited Inazuma islands, and it seems as though miHoYo is not planning to stop adding more terrain any time soon.
There is a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming polearm characters Yun Jin and Shenhe. However, the addition of the new region by the name Enkanomiya actually stole the show. Enkanomiya has been rumored since a couple of weeks ago but the recent beta leaks pretty much confirm that those rumors are true. A screenshot posted on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit reveals a couple of statues that are of great importance to the region.
Enkanomiya will apparently include 21 teleport waypoints which means that players will be able to gather around 105 Primogems upon unlocking all of them. The recent Enkanomiya map leaks have revealed that there is not much horizontal distance between the teleport waypoints which means that there will be most likely be much more vertical distance. The new region will most likely be similar to Dragonspine where certain parts of the maps consist of two layers of playable terrain which require additional points to teleport.
According to another credible leak, Enkanomiya could work similarly to the limited Goldern Apple Archipelago region which was part of the 1.6 update. This region introduced a fresh new experience that brought back the focus on exploration. Running around, finding secrets and exploring the story behind the islands was some of the most enjoyable content players have experienced in the game so far. This region introduced the game’s first costumes as well as the first Klee banner re-run.
The new update will bring two fan-favorite characters Shenhe and Yun Jin, both of which are tied to Liyue meaning that they will most likely not be a part of the same banner cycle that will bring Enkanomiya. This could be great news for players that want to pull for both of them considering that they will be featured on the same banner. There still isn’t any new information on what the second banner might bring. It will most likely include another double banner re-run just like it was the case with update 2.3.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
