It’s been a whole year since Game Rant Arcade got off the ground, making this a very special anniversary episode. Coming off of The Game Awards, there’s tons of news for Cameron and Anthony to discuss during the show’s latest episode, including some long-awaited game announcements and digital Keanu Reeves.
Kicking things off, Stalker 2 has walked back its addition of NFTs following fan outcry. The announcement was immediately met with resistance from fans, who called out Stalker 2’s reasons for including NFTs as poor. The developer CSG Games briefly tried to defend its position but ended up canceling the inclusion of any type of NFT.

Bungie was the subject of criticism after a report detailed the toxic work environment that run rampant. The report, published by IGN, shed light on boys’ club culture, toxicity, and microaggressions that have affected the studio. Bungie has promised changes to its culture in the time since, and its head of HR has stepped down from her position.
There’s also a Splinter Cell remake in the works, which will bring the franchise back into the spotlight. While no gameplay or assets have been shown, and the project is likely still a long ways off, fans have been clamoring for the franchise to return for years, so it’s good to see Ubisoft announce something.
And finally, rumor has it that PlayStation is working on a Game Pass competitor, which would be just what the company needs. Supposedly, the service would adopt PS Plus’ branding and have several tiers to consider.
