Former Nintendo president and chief operating officer Reggie Fils-Aime will be attending PAX West 2023 this September. The venue for PAX West 2023 will also host several Nintendo games and themed activities in partnership with this year’s Nintendo Live event.

PAX West is one of the largest gaming conventions on the west coast with several notable companies participating every year. This year, PAX West 2023 has partnered with The Pokemon Company, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and many more publishers to bring its games to the show floor. Attendees will be able to try out demos for new and recently released titles, buy new merchandise, and participating in various activities. Moreover, Nintendo Live 2023 will be held alongside PAX West 2023 in the Seattle Convention Center. Less than a month remains until PAX West 2023 begins, and Reggie is one of the big names returning to PAX this year.

Former Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed on Twitter that he will be attending PAX West 2023 and speaking at the event’s “Storytime” keynote on Friday, September 1. As the keynote speaker, Reggie will talk about his life and career at Nintendo, and he will answer questions submitted by the audience. Users may submit their questions at the official PAX West website, which has been updated to include Reggie’s Storytime keynote in the event schedule.

Reggie retired from Nintendo of America in 2019 after overseeing the launch of Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild two years prior. Doug Bowser succeeded Reggie to become the current Nintendo of America president. Although Reggie retired from Nintendo, he continues to give back to his community of fans through public appearances at major gaming events like The Game Awards and written works like Disrupting the Game: From the Bronx to the Top of Nintendo. Reggie also founded Brentwood Growth Partners, a consulting and investing organization that helps companies grow in competitive fields.

The Nintendo community continues to hold Reggie in high regard four years after his retirement from the company, so fans will have many questions to ask him for his keynote. After attending Reggie’s keynote, PAX West 2023 attendees who have a ticket to Nintendo Live may spend time trying out some of the most popular Nintendo Switch games.
