Entertaining Video Shows Elden Ring Players Roleplaying as Godskin Duo

Elden Ring fans have proven to be incredibly passionate, and while that love is often shown outside of the game through fan art and lore videos, others have used the game’s multiplayer to pay homage to certain characters. Though this has resulted in several funny posts like Elden Ring’s Big Maliketh, it has also inspired some players to fully become certain characters through some serious cosplay attempts.

Some Elden Ring fans have dressed up as basic enemies to trick invaders, though others have fully become the game’s bosses. While cosplaying as an Elden Ring boss is entertaining enough on its own, it is even more fun when two players work together to portray a pair of bosses. This is exactly what Reddit user Mini_B3ast and their friend did, with the two Tarnished portraying the Godskin Duo and entering into a PvP encounter.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Both members of the Elden Ring fan base nailed their portrayal of their chosen Godskin character, as Mini_B3ast’s Apostle was slightly taller and their friend’s Noble was more bulky. However, what makes their portrayals so special is the fact that they went out of their way to fight and move like the Godskin Duo. Not only did they attack their foe one at a time, but the Godskin Apostle cosplayer only walked instead of running. Further, their partner made sure they were over-encumbered.

Throughout the entire fight, Mini-B3ast wields the signature Godskin Apostle spells, using Black Flame’s Protection to buff themselves and tossing Black Flame balls at the invader. They wield the Godskin Peeler for melee combat, too, ensuring that every part of their build is as accurate as possible. The best part of the clip sees their ally rolling at the invader just like the Godskin Noble is known to do in the real boss fight, using an ability to mimic the unique maneuver.

Eventually, this hilarious fight comes to an end, though it does have a bit of a tragic conclusion. While the fake Godskin Duo is victorious, the Noble accidentally hits and kills the Apostle, killing their friend at the same time as the invader. They use a gesture to show how sorry they are about the mistake, making for an unforgettable conclusion to an already special PvP interaction. Unsurprisingly, the Elden Ring community adored the clip, giving it over 7,000 upvotes thus far.

While there have certainly been some intimidating players in Elden Ring’s PvP, the person that was up against this Godskin Duo was likely terrified. Considering that this pairing made for a tough boss fight in the actual game, the fact that two players have brought it to PvP is a lot of fun – at least for those that do not have to fight the two cosplayers.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
