Diablo 4 Player Shows Off God of War Kratos Build

A Diablo 4 player created a character that looks just like Kratos, the famous protagonist of the God of War franchise. This Kratos build can inspire other Diablo 4 players who want to use the character creation tool to customize their hero to make them look like popular characters from other game franchises.

Diablo 4 held two weekends of betas, offering players a chance to discover the world of Sanctuary and the story of this new entry in the Diablo franchise. Following the events of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, the daughter of Mephisto, Lilith, is back to take control of Sanctuary. Players have to battle against Lilith and her minions, either solo or teaming up together as Diablo 4 features a large shared open world where players can fight world bosses and complete quests with others.

A Diablo 4 player used the character creation tool to create a perfect replica of Kratos from God of War and shared their creation on Reddit. Their Diablo 4 character shares the same traits as the Ghost from Sparta, from the red tattoo he wears on his body and face to his Spartan leather armor. To be faithful to the original Kratos, the eponymous Diablo 4 character is a Barbarian, one of the five classes available in Diablo 4. He also holds two battle axes similar to the one Kratos wields in God of War: Ragnarok, with maces as alternative weapons.

In the comments to the Reddit post introducing this Kratos build, other Diablo 4 players were surprised by the uncanny resemblance with God of War’s main character. Some suggested this Diablo 4 version of Kratos used Iron Maelstrom, an Ultimate skill allowing a Barbarian to whirl their weapon around a chain to deal physical damage. This ability would let Kratos use chains as he does in the first God of War games alongside his pair of large curved blades.

The improved character creator featured in Diablo 4 let players customize their character however they want, with some of them taking their inspiration from popular pop culture references. A Diablo 4 player created Game of Thrones‘ Night King in the game, customizing their Necromancer to look just like the blue-eyed villains from HBO’s series. While the second weekend of Diablo 4 beta came to an end, players will find more creative ways to use the character creator when Diablo 4 officially launches this summer.

Diablo 4 officially releases for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on June 6.
