Diablo 4 Image Shows Beta Area is a Tiny Part of the Full Game’s Map

An image depicting the full size of upcoming action-RPG Diablo 4‘s map is making rounds online and fans seem to be surprised by just how small the area that they played through in the open beta was. Given that players only had limited access to areas in the Diablo 4 open beta, seeing the entire map size of the full game is likely something that the community would be highly interested in.

Blizzard has just concluded the two weekends for Diablo 4‘s beta, and fans are likely still hyped up after getting a preview of the game. Even though the beta was only open for a limited amount of time, hardcore players have already max-leveled all playable classes, finished the beta’s main story, completed dungeons, fought world bosses, and more. Now that access to the action-RPG has ended, the player base is probably very curious about how big or how massive Diablo 4 will truly be once it is released this year.

An image that showcases just how large Diablo 4‘s open world map will be is being passed around by fans. Though the image does not have any details such as location names or clear boundaries from one section to another, fans have clearly marked out where the beta area is in the whole map. Compared to the size of the full map, players can see that the locations they had access to in the open beta are actually very small. This indicates that the full Diablo 4 game will give the community more places to explore and discover after the launch.

A Reddit user has also opened a discussion of the full map on the platform and most commenters seem to be surprised by just how large it is, especially when compared to the size of the area that they played through in the Diablo 4 beta. Fans seem to be taking the information positively, with some mentioning that the beta was a great way to train for the full game. What’s more, talking about the map size on the forum has also led to fans theory crafting about possible Diablo 4 expansions with additional locations and even the game’s unique placement as an MMO.

Nevertheless, the full Diablo 4 world map has revealed that there is more to expect from the action-RPG once fans gain full access to the video game. Hopefully the developers will supplement the large areas with enough content so that the community will experience a truly replayable gameplay loop in the future.

Diablo 4 will release on June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
