The video game Cannibal Cuisine is a cooking simulation game where players take on the role of cannibals capturing tourists on their island to feed them to their god. Cannibal Cuisine has been compared to other cooking video games like the Overcooked games but with the obvious cannibal element.
Cannibal Cuisine has players take control of a cannibal chef who must gather ingredients, like fruits, vegetables, and meat from tourists to cook into meals. The game offers local and online multiplayer that allows up to four-player co-op for players to work together or compete against each other to score the most points. The game was developed and published by the independent game studio Rocket Vulture, and it was originally released in 2020 for PC and the Nintendo Switch.
Recently, a new trailer Cannibal Cuisine was released that showed off the core gameplay. However, the trailer also revealed that Cannibal Cuisine will be available for both PlayStation and Xbox consoles on Tuesday, January 25. By then, the game will be available to purchase for the PS4 and PS5, as well as the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Players can currently pre-order Cannibal Cuisine for Xbox on the Microsoft Store for $12.99 or wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store at the time of writing.
The trailer mainly shows off the main cooking simulation gameplay of Cannibal Cuisine, building on the aspect of players gathering food to feed their respective gods. It displays the cooperative and competitive multiplayer with player characters working together and against each other to gather food or fight. It also shows off some of the different maps that the game will have showing off some of the various traps and obstacles that players will need to avoid.
Cannibal Cuisine also has other gameplay activities that players can engage each other with in the game. Players can outrun the Spikey Log of Doom across a map to see who survives the longest or makes it to the other side in one piece as briefly shown in the new trailer. The game even lets players fight against multiple waves of tourists until they face the tour boss.
Cannibal Cuisine has some player customization of in-game characters with various accessories to wear and weapons they can use. Players can also use different special powers in the game to fit their play style, like dashing, using healing totems, or breathing fire. Cannibal Cuisine even lets players challenge each other to PvP food-fight matches, too.
