Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty Modern: Warfare 3 will seemingly get a demo on PlayStation before any other platform. This comes via a trailer posted by Sony’s Arabic YouTube channel which confirmed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta access for Playstation users.
The Call of Duty community has been buzzing this past week as Activision officially unveiled the next title in the rebooted Modern Warfare subseries. The cover art for Modern Warfare 3 had already leaked before the official announcement, and Activision decided to officially reveal it instead of denying its existence. Now, Activsion has seemingly confirmed that PlayStation users will get to access the game’s demo before anyone else.
This was confirmed via a screenshot posted by Charlie Intel on Twitter, which reads “Play the demo first on PlayStation.” Another bit of text in the photo also confirmed that PlayStation users will get to play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 demo at least five days before any other platform. PlayStation usually has some form of exclusivity deal with every new Call of Duty title, which seems to be continuing with this year’s title as well.
Additionally, Activision has also revealed how content from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will carry forward to Modern Warfare 3 . Players will be able to transfer cosmetic bundles, Operators skins, unlocked weapons, and more to Modern Warfare 3. However, Activision also mentioned that cetain vehicles and Wartracks from Modern Warfare 2 and won’t be available in the upcoming game.
Call of Duty Modern: Warfare 3 will also the see the return one of the most popular villains in the franchise, Vladimir Makarov. The Russian ultra-nationalist will possibly be the primary antagonist of the game alongside General Shepherd. Makarov’s return has also sparked rumors suggesting Modern Warfare 3 will possibly feature a mission similar to “No Russian” from the 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which sparked controversy in the gaming industry. Additionally, Phillip Graves from 2022 Modern Warfare 2 is also back from the dead and could be another antagonist for Captain’s Price’s Task Force 141 in Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
