BruceDropEmOff was also a key member of OTK (One True King), a collaborative venture established in 2020 by several prominent game streamers, including Asmongold and Mizkif, which specializes in creating and producing online video content for platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. However, on January 24th, the OTK community was dealt a major blow when BruceDropEmOff announced his departure from the group via a tweet, leaving his fans speculating about the reason behind his sudden exit.

On March 6th, Adin Ross, another popular streamer who recently received a permanent ban from Twitch, invited Bruce onto his Kick stream to discuss his departure from OTK and the subsequent incidents that followed. In the course of the interview, Bruce conveyed his deep admiration for the organization. However, he made a disturbing revelation, alleging that the OTK’s fanbase bombarded him with offensive private messages and emails filled with racist content when he announced his departure from the group. The full stream is available to watch here, however, viewer discretion is advised as it contains strong language.

Twitch star Bruce’s statement sparked a debate among the online community, with some users agreeing with him, while others sided against him. Some users questioned Bruce’s claims and asked why he thought it was OTK’s viewers who swatted him and not his own community, while others sympathized with him, acknowledging the prevalence of toxicity in the online space.

Online personalities are often subjected to harassment and toxicity from viewers who take things too far. The anonymity of the internet provides a sense of detachment that allows individuals to engage in behavior that they would not normally engage in face-to-face interactions. It is crucial that online communities take responsibility for creating a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals, including online personalities. Organizations and platforms like Twitch must also take steps to protect their users from harassment and toxicity by implementing stricter rules and regulations and providing support for those affected.
