Known for its unique art style, Borderlands is one of the most iconic looter-shooter series in gaming history. The charm, humor, and gameplay of the Borderlands series manage to set the games apart from others in the genre, making each of them a memorable experience.
Many fans have fallen in love with the games, devoting tons of play time to each installment in the franchise. Other fans set out to create things as a dedication to the franchise, such as one Borderlands fan recreating the introduction to the game.
It is easy for players to fall in love with the incredibly unique characters of the series, and as such many players become attached to their favorites. This makes sense considering that Borderlands is a game separated into different classes, allowing players to choose the character and class they feel fits them the best. So, while one Borderlands fan was creating a Dragon’s Keep mimic, another fan was dedicating themselves to their favorite character from the series.
Reddit user TheSiegeOC decided they loved Borderlands and robotic ninja character Zer0 so much that a tattoo was in order, and immortalized the haiku-spewing swordsman on their body. The tattoo depicts Zer0 in his base skin inside the Borderlands logo. The tattoo turned out quite well, with both Zer0 and the Borderlands logo very clearly visible and easily recognizable. Akin to a beautiful artistic depiction of Borderlands‘ Siren Maya, TheSiegeOC’s tattoo is an incredible dedication to one of the series’ most recognizable and beloved characters.
Users’ responses to the tattoo were mostly positive, with many congratulating TheSiegeOC on their incredible tattoo. Some users stated the tattoo looked great, also adding they love Zer0. One user joked that now if anyone asks if TheSiegeOC has any tattoos, they can respond back that they have “Zer0.” However, while many responses were positive, some pointed out that the line work on the tattoo could be touched up, that Zer0’s posture is strange, and other criticisms. Not every work of art can be perfect, such as the fan-made Borderlands Maliwan sniper rifle, but TheSiegeOC did let others know they would be getting the tattoo touched up in the near-future.
With Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands fast approaching, fans of the series have a lot to look forward to. Between more story content, new characters, new classes, and more, the game looks as though it has a lot to offer players. With many players pointing out the issues with Borderlands 3, there is a good chance that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will remedy past issues and strengthen the core of the Borderlands franchise.
