Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Creates Hilarious Dating Profiles For Villagers

A fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons makes images that show what the game’s villagers would look like if they had online dating profiles.

When it comes to Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the game’s community would likely agree that the title’s villagers are one of the main reasons they continue to play the game or patronize the series. With the whole Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager roster already going beyond 400 characters, there are many companions that players can choose from that they can spend every island day with. Now, a fan of the life sim has produced cute images of different villagers as if they had their own profiles on an online dating app.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

When Nintendo first announced the Animal Crossing: New Horizons free 2.0 update and paid Happy Home Paradise DLC in late 2021, many fans wondered if new villagers would be added to the roster. Fortunately, the company pulled through and introduced sixteen new villagers across the eight different personalities. This gave players a chance to mix up their desert island resident lineup, especially since Nintendo seems to have no intentions of updating the game further in the future.

On Reddit, forum user Hopkins41 produced a series of images that made it seem like some ACNH villagers had uploaded their own profiles on a dating app. In their post, they highlighted several villagers such as Molly, Teddy, Coach, Monique, Lyle, Megan, Marshal, Tom Nook, and more. Interestingly enough, the only Animal Crossing: New Horizons special villagers in the series of photos are Lyle and Tom Nook. Lyle was an insurance agent from Wild World and later an HHA agent in New Leaf; he does not even make an appearance in New Horizons. Check out Reddit for more images.

Each of the villagers’ profiles made by Hopkins41 had some indication of their personality. For example, Coach’s jock personality is reflected by their occupation as a “PE Teacher” in “Nook’s University.” Coach also seems to prefer those who are in shape or like working out, showing off a jock villager’s love for sports and bodybuilding. Inversely, cat villager Monique is shown to be working in the Gucci store and prefers individuals who have a specific income of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bells or can dress well. This reflects her personality as a snooty villager.

Replies on the Reddit thread showed that some Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans would like to see the dating profiles of other villagers. A few commenters even requested additional special villager profiles, especially for the crafty fox Redd. Hopefully Hopkins41 gets inspired and shares additional creative images with the community in the future.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
